Job summary

Orphoz, a McKinsey company, seeks a transformative professional to translate strategic goals into concrete initiatives and to drive value across EBITDA, cash flow, and operations. You will redesign operating models, lead transformation offices, and mobilize leadership and teams for durable impact.

Based in Amsterdam with up to 80% travel, you will collaborate closely with McKinsey experts to connect strategy with execution and deliver measurable results for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or similar field.
• 2+ years of experience delivering transformation programs.
• Experience in value-creation areas like operating-model redesign or procurement excellence is a plus, as are Lean/Six Sigma or PMP/Agile certifications.
• Experience in operational excellence and implementation, procurement transformation, post-merger integration or AI project implementations.

Responsibilities

Your Impact

You’ll translate organizational goals into clear initiatives, set measurable KPIs, and unlock value across performance areas like EBITDA, cash flow, and operational capabilities. You’ll redesign organizations by implementing new models and systems for lasting impact, and you’ll lead transformations, running Transformation Offices that deliver measurable outcomes. A big part of your work will be mobilizing people—engaging leaders, coaching teams, and building resilience. You’ll also collaborate closely with McKinsey experts, connecting strategy with execution to create tangible results.

You’ll be based in Amsterdam, with flexibility to travel up to 80% of the time. Most of your work will be on-site or hybrid from Monday to Thursday, with Fridays dedicated to firm development. You’ll be part of a small, trusted team of 3–5 colleagues, integrated with McKinsey partners, ensuring close collaboration and high-impact results.

Your Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a similar field, backed by a strong academic record
• 2+ years of experience delivering transformation programs
• Experience in value‑creation areas like operating‑model redesign or procurement excellence is a plus, as are certifications such as Lean/Six Sigma or PMP/Agile.
• Experience in one or more of the below topics: operational excellence and implementation, procurement transformation, post‑merger integration or implementation of AI projects to reshape company operations
• Entrepreneurial, resilient, and proactive individuals who thrive under pressure
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Functional experience with AI‑related solutions (e.g., analytics, automation, AI‑enabled tools) is highly desirable
• Business level language fluency skills, both verbally and in writing, in English, Dutch and French are mandatory
