Job summary

McKinsey & Company’s Orphoz team in Amsterdam seeks a creative problem-solver to help clients transform operations and adopt new operating models. You will manage workstreams, lead client workshops, and coach junior consultants on challenging transformation programs.

You’ll collaborate with senior client leadership to ensure value delivery, applying agile and structured methodologies while growing your leadership capabilities in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in engineering or business administration.
• 3+ years of PMO/project delivery experience in consulting/implementation.
• Experience in operational excellence and/or procurement transformation and AI project implementations.

Responsibilities

• Manage workstreams largely independently with support of a project manager.

You will work largely in the private sector and concentrate on managing business transformation projects. You will support the implementation of business change programs to ensure that they are delivered fully and consistently across organizations. You will implement transformation projects across sectors, ensuring long-term project success. You will manage workstreams largely independently with the support of a project manager. As you gain experience, you will gradually assume responsibility for delivering parts of the projects yourself. You will lead more junior consultants in your project or workstream and successfully hold client meetings and workshops to achieve the project's objectives. You will drive change and execute initiatives successfully, coaching clients across organizations. You will be based in our McKinsey office in Amsterdam, as part of Orphoz, working closely and in partnership with clients’ senior management and their specialist departments. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Advanced graduate degree with strong academic background required, ideally in engineering or business administration
• 3+ years of experience in project delivery in project management office (PMO) preferably in consulting, in the context of implementation/transformation/change management projects, change management
• Experience in one or more of the below topics: operational excellence and implementation, procurement transformation, post-merger integration or implementation of AI projects to reshape company operations
• Qualifications including Agile, Scrum, Prince 2, Lean Six Sigma and Jira are desirable
• Initial experience at the management level and ability to hold workshops and coaching sessions
• Enjoying the flexibility and agility that is required in a consulting environment
• Functional experience with AI-related solutions (e.g., analytics, automation, AI-enabled tools) is highly desirable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate complex ideas effectively
• Business level language fluency skills, both verbally and in writing, in English and Dutch are mandatory
