Job summary

Cervitech in the Netherlands is seeking a Construction Planner to lead the preparation phase of diverse projects, from new builds to renovations. You will work closely with the site manager and use your construction knowledge and communication skills to keep projects on track.

You will check documents, determine scope, coordinate with clients and suppliers, draft plans, and monitor invoices and administration, ensuring compliance with safety and building regulations.

Qualifications

• Completed construction education at MBO+ or HBO level.
• Demonstrable work experience in a similar planner role.
• Strong cooperation with customers and the project team.

Responsibilities

• Check and assess documents and specifications for feasibility.
• Determine the nature and scope of the work and, where necessary, consult with the client and record choices.
• Consult with the contractor about the implementation period and coordinate this with personnel and equipment.
• Draw up draft plans and coordinate with internal and external parties.
• Check, testing, and, if necessary, adjusting specifications, working drawings, and piping diagrams; applying for permits.
• Drafting (partial) contracts and coordination with subcontractors.
• Ensuring the availability of materials, placing orders and negotiating with suppliers.
• Participate in work meetings, discuss details with the contractor and implement changes or provide quotes for additional work.
• Identify deviations in planning and activities and propose corrections and alternative solutions.
• Monitoring invoices and maintaining administration related to the project.
• As a work planner, you'll also monitor compliance with laws and regulations regarding quality, safety, and the environment.
