Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a Configuration Management Engineer to support ILS and Manufacturing within a defence‑sector program. The role focuses on CM of SBOM/MBOM, data governance and release processes, with collaboration across engineering and customers.

The candidate should have CM experience in ETO environments, strong 3DX/BOM knowledge, and the ability to lead CM activities and cross‑disciplinary teams. Fluent English is required; German is a plus.

• Coordinate data exchange with external partners.
• Act as CM point of contact for ILS, Manufacturing, and customer stakeholders.
• Analyse and improve release flows from engineering to production.
• Create templates for measuring release readiness of engineering information.

Profile

• Able to lead CM activities, boards, and cross‑disciplinary alignment.
• Skilled in documentation control, data governance, and process implementation.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or related fields; CM2/ASEP/IPMA preferred.
• Fluent English; German is a plus for customer contacts.
