Job summary

Forexx Group in the Netherlands seeks a Functional Application Specialist 3DX to drive PLM functionality development and implementation for cutting-edge naval programs. You will partner with engineers and IT to improve usability and performance across projects.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with proven 3DX experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and English fluency. You may work at Vlissingen or Schiedam.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Cadmatic (Outfitting) is a strong advantage.
• Solid understanding of PLM principles and functional application management.

• Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus.
• EU citizenship and permanent EU passport due to military projects.
• Willingness to work at Vlissingen or Schiedam locations.

• Lead implementation of application improvements and support configuration.
• Manage user roles, system access and integration of new functionalities.
• Maintain parametric parts, technical specifications and data catalogues.
• Provide hands-on user support and coordinate training.
• Create and maintain training materials and user manuals.
• Optionally support Cadmatic (Outfitting) in legacy projects.

The role

As Functional Application Specialist 3DX, you will be the driving force behind the development and implementation of engineering functionalities in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems. With your technical knowledge and affinity for process improvement, you will empower engineering teams and enhance operational efficiency across innovative naval programs.

Key accountabilities

As Functional Application Specialist 3DX your responsibilities will include:

• Translate complex engineering processes into smart, functional specifications.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, IT specialists, and other stakeholders to enhance usability and system performance.
• Lead the implementation of application improvements and support configuration activities.
• Manage user roles, system access, and integration of new functionalities.
• Maintain and develop parametric parts, technical specifications, and data catalogues.
• Deliver hands-on user support and coordinate relevant application training.
• Create and maintain training materials, documentation, and user manuals.
• Optionally support Cadmatic (Outfitting) application in legacy projects.

Skills & experience

For this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree combined with proven experience with the Dassault 3Dexperience (3DX) platform.
• Familiarity with Cadmatic (Outfitting) is a strong advantage.
• Solid understanding of PLM principles and functional application management.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with a proactive mindset.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); Dutch is a plus.
• The ability and willingness to work at either the Vlissingen or Schiedam location.
• EU citizenship and a permanent EU passport (a requirement due to the military nature of the projects).
