About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the development of high‑quality mechanical systems within the marine and automotive industries. You will play a central role in designing robust, manufacturable components and assemblies using Siemens NX, while ensuring full integration within Teamcenter-managed environments.

You will be responsible for delivering precise, reliable mechanical designs that meet demanding industry standards. Experience in marine or automotive applications is essential, as you will work on systems exposed to complex mechanical loads, harsh environments, and strict regulatory requirements.

Your role

• Develop detailed 3D designs and 2D drawings using Siemens NX.
• Manage product structures, revisions, and documentation within Teamcenter.
• Translate functional requirements into manufacturable mechanical solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including production, quality, and project engineering.
• Perform tolerance analyses, material selection, and design calculations.
• Ensure compliance with marine or automotive standards and certification requirements.
• Support prototype builds, testing activities, and design validation.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Proven background in the marine or automotive industry is a plus.
• Solid understanding of mechanical principles, manufacturing processes, and industrial standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
