Job summary

Brunel is leading a major international HVDC project at the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam. We seek an experienced Completion Coordinator & PIMS Administrator to coordinate completion activities, manage CMS/PIMS, and ensure timely handover to the client.

The role covers construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning phases. You will work with Engineering, Construction, Quality and Commissioning teams, delivering progress reports and sign-offs, with a 24+ month assignment on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience as Completion Coordinator/Turnover/Commissioning Manager.
• Experience on large-scale industrial projects, preferably HVDC or energy infra.
• Hands-on with CMS/PIMS like PIMS, CMS, Omega 365 PIMS or similar.
• Familiar with punch list, inspections, turnover processes and QA/HSE requirements.

Job description

For a major international High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) project at the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam, we are looking for an experienced Completion Coordinator & PIMS Administrator. In this position, you will play a key role in coordinating completion activities and managing the Completion Management System throughout construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning, ultimately ensuring a smooth and complete handover to the client.

Description

As Completion Coordinator & PIMS Administrator, you will coordinate and monitor the completion process across multiple disciplines. You will ensure that inspections, documentation and outstanding items are properly recorded, tracked and closed in accordance with project requirements, quality standards, HSE requirements and the project schedule.

Your responsibilities include:

• Administering, configuring and further developing the Completion Management System (CMS/PIMS);
• Maintaining the CMS structure, including systems, subsystems, tags and check sheets;
• Coordinating and tracking site completion activities in line with project milestones;
• Conducting and recording completion inspections;
• Creating, monitoring and facilitating the closure of punch list items, NCRs, defects and technical queries;
• Coordinating closely with Engineering, Construction, Quality and Commissioning teams;
• Supporting the transition from construction through pre-commissioning and commissioning to energization;
• Organizing and facilitating multidisciplinary completion review meetings;
• Training project staff and contractors in the effective use of the Completion Management System;
• Troubleshooting CMS-related issues and coordinating with software vendors and IT support where required;
• Preparing progress reports, turnover dashboards and completion status metrics;
• Ensuring the quality, accuracy and completeness of completion documentation;
• Supporting the preparation and finalization of turnover packages for client acceptance;
• Issuing certificates and coordinating the required sign-offs throughout the different completion stages;
• Acting as a point of contact for client representatives, subcontractors and vendors regarding completion and handover activities.

Profile

We are looking for a structured and proactive professional who is comfortable working in a complex, multidisciplinary and international project environment.

Ideally, you have:

• A Bachelor's degree or technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline;
• Proven experience as a Completion Coordinator, Completion Engineer, Completion Manager, Turnover Coordinator or Commissioning Manager;
• Experience on large-scale industrial projects, preferably within HVDC, High Voltage, Power, Energy, Oil & Gas or energy infrastructure;
• Experience working within an EPC or Owner's Engineer environment;
• Hands-on experience with Completion Management Systems such as PIMS, CMS, Omega 365 PIMS, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC Build), Thinkproject or similar platforms;
• Experience with punch list management, inspections, check sheets, certification and turnover/handover processes;
• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical installation, testing and commissioning activities;
• Understanding of QA processes, HSE requirements and regulatory compliance within large technical projects;
• Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent written and spoken English. Dutch language skills are considered a plus.

What can you expect?

You will be part of a major international HVDC project at the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam, working alongside multidisciplinary engineering, construction and commissioning teams.

This is a full-time, project-based position for approximately 40 hours per week, with an expected assignment duration of 24 months or longer. Depending on project requirements and milestones, occasional overtime may be required.

You will take on a responsible position within a technically complex energy infrastructure project and directly contribute to the successful transition from construction to commissioning, energization and final handover to the client.
