Progressive is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer for an international, on-site role delivering electrical power distribution systems in hyperscale data centres across Europe.
You will test and commission MV/LV switchgear, transformers, protection relays, and automation systems, coordinate activities, lead project teams, and ensure safe, on-time handover. Expect extensive travel in the EMEA region with a 3 weeks on-site / 1 week off rotation and EU passport requirement.
Are you an experienced Commissioning Engineer looking for an international role with flexibility, responsibility, and the opportunity to work on some of the largest hyperscale data centre projects in Europe?
Our client is a global technology leader specializing in electrical power distribution, automation, and critical infrastructure solutions. The company plays a key role in supporting data centres, utilities, and industrial facilities worldwide by delivering advanced power systems that ensure reliability, efficiency, and business continuity.
As the on-site technical representative, you will be responsible for the testing, commissioning, and successful delivery of electrical power distribution systems within hyperscale data centre environments. You will ensure installations are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to the highest quality standards.
Your scope may include:
You will coordinate commissioning activities, attend project meetings, support customers during project execution, and ensure all systems are fully operational before handover. Depending on the project size, you will either perform the commissioning activities yourself or lead and coordinate a team of engineers on-site.
This role offers extensive international travel throughout the EMEA region. Current projects are primarily located in Scandinavia, including Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark.
To support a healthy work-life balance, the position follows a fixed rotation schedule:
3 weeks on-site / 1 week off at home
This allows you to work on exciting international projects while maintaining regular time at home between assignments.
A valid EU passport is mandatory.
Due to the international nature of the role and frequent travel across European project locations, only candidates holding an EU passport can be considered for this position.
If you're passionate about electrical commissioning, enjoy international travel, and want to work on mission-critical infrastructure projects across Scandinavia and the wider EMEA region, we'd love to hear from you.
