Job summary

Haskoning invites talented Master’s students to join a coastal engineering graduation internship in Delft, Gouda, and Amersfoort. You will perform 2D physical model tests on Xbloc toe stability, exploring how toe width and toe level influence the armour layer’s hydraulic stability.

This collaboration with Delta Marine Consultants offers practical, industry-driven research experience. Work includes literature reviews, data analysis, and presenting recommendations.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Master’s programme in Hydraulic Engineering, Coastal Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Able to spend multiple weeks in Gouda conducting the physical model tests.
• Able to work regularly from the offices in Delft and/or Amersfoort and/or Rotterdam.
• Must be enrolled at a Dutch university (WO) during the entire duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 2D physical model tests on toe stability to investigate toe width and toe level effects.
• Conduct a literature study on toe stability and compare results with existing data.
• Analyse and interpret results and relate them to literature values.
