Job summary

The Gund Company, a leader in engineered material solutions, seeks a CNC Machine Operator III to join the Composites department in Amsterdam. The role focuses on operating CNC centers, setting up tooling, reading blueprints, and meeting strict tolerances to produce custom parts per customer orders.

Qualified candidates typically have 5+ years in manufacturing, strong machining knowledge, and experience with measuring instruments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of combined formal training and experience in machining or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret basic to intermediate blueprints and tolerances.
• Proficiency with basic measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machining centers across multiple cells (mills, lathes, routers).
• Set up and run various machine tools with close tolerances.
• Follow instructions from customers and internal specs to fabricate parts.
• Lead teams and projects within the department as needed.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and safe.
