CNC Machine Operator I – The Gund Company

Key Responsibilities
- Operate manufacturing equipment including presses, forming, extrusion, pultrusion, and shape machines for thermoset composite materials.
- Manufacture molded glass polyester sheets and perform trim, file, and de‑flash operations on molded sheet edges.
- Select and install machine components (dies, spacers, shims, stops) according to specifications.
- Set up tooling, load programs, and adjust machine parameters for optimal performance.
- Clean dies and molds using scrapers, brushes, scotch pads, or air hoses.
- Conduct in‑process measurements and material inspections.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED with relevant hands‑on, vocational, or job‑related coursework or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, preferably with mixing, batching, or compounding equipment.
Work Environment
- Non‑climate‑controlled manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.
- Repetitive tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
