ProMach's Fogg Filler is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate 3-4 axis CNC mills and lathes, reading blueprints and specs to produce precision components in a safe, efficient manner.

Fogg Filler is seeking a skilled and motivated 1st Shift Machinist to join our team in Holland, Michigan. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce high-quality precision components in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. The ideal candidate will be able to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and product specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements. Responsibilities include reviewing tooling instructions, selecting and setting up fixtures, determining feed rates and machining parameters, and planning the proper sequence of operations to ensure accurate production. This role also involves modifying, repairing, and reworking parts and assemblies as needed while applying knowledge of machining practices, shop mathematics, metal properties, mechanical principles, and manufacturing processes. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and the ability to consistently produce parts that meet Fogg's high standards.

Fogg Filler is seeking a talented, team-oriented CNC Machinist to setup and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision Fogg parts in a timely manner. Reads and understands blueprints for part specifications, such as dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes. Applies programmer instructions, such as setup sheets, stock notes and tooling requirements. Is able to apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, material properties, layout, and machining procedures based on the programmers' directions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Setup, and operate 3 and 4 axis CNC mills and lathes (Haas mills, Doosan lathes).
  • Machine parts to specifications on detail prints provided, or as instructed.
  • Set up tooling, work pieces, and fixtures as directed.
  • In depth knowledge of measuring equipment common to the machinist’s trade (calipers, micrometers, height gage, profilometers, etc.)
  • Record set-up and run time through ERP system for tracking of time on all jobs.
  • Monitor due dates and complete all work as scheduled.
  • Deliver parts to other departments in the plant as necessary.
  • Capable of delivering clear and concise verbal and written information to team members as necessary.
  • Willing to work and cross train on various positions or equipment as required.
  • Capable of properly inspecting your own work as well as others.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of work area by performing housekeeping duties daily. Including, but not limited to trash, coolant, work area etc.

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Experience with SolidWorks and Mastercam preferred.
  • Work overtime as required.
