Job summary

Kyndryl in the Netherlands is seeking an IT Platform Engineer to help build and run the Enterprise Data Lake on Azure. You will collaborate with data engineers, architects and security teams to deliver scalable, secure data platforms and apply modern DevOps practices in a cloud-first environment.

You'll work on the Data & Analytics Platform for a major bank, applying Python, CI/CD and SOLID principles while mentoring teammates and driving continuous improvement across the team.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in object-oriented programming, analysis and design (Python preferred).
• Application of SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Strong understanding of the incremental software development cycle, DevOps and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver robust, secure, high-quality solutions in a cloud-based environment.
• Advocate and apply best practices in software engineering, including SOLID principles, design patterns and domain-driven design (DDD).
• Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and IT stakeholders to align technical strategy with business objectives.
• Build and maintain scalable data platforms in Azure with the engineering team.
• Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery.
• Ensure code quality through automated testing frameworks (e.g., Pytest, mocking).
• Support and mentor team members, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
