About the team

You will be leading a team of 3 talented Finance professionals who are responsible for all accounting and controlling activities, as well as supporting the business in data driven strategic decision making.

About you

We are seeking a dynamic and business-driven CFO to lead our finance function, drive strategic decision-making, and ensure strong financial health as we expand internationally. You will be part of the leadership team, reporting to the founders and acting as a trusted advisor at board level. This role requires a commercial mindset, the ability to explain complex matters in simple terms, build strong connections quickly, and the courage to venture off the beaten track when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Own financial strategy, planning, and analysis to support sustainable growth.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow management.
• Oversee accounting, compliance, risk management, and investor relations.
• Provide clear, data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions across the business.
• Build and lead a high-performing finance team.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to secure funding, manage capital, and optimise resources.
• Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of reporting, consolidation, and BI tooling to enable faster and easier decision-making for management.

Requirements

• Proven senior finance leadership experience in a high-growth scale-up or e-commerce/tech environment is a must have.
• Strong business acumen with a commercial mindset and the courage to challenge conventions.
• Excellent communicator, able to translate complex topics into clear and actionable insights.
• Experience with reporting, consolidation and BI tools, turning data into business impact.
• Proven experience in international expansion.
• Ability to prioritise without losing control, with a strategic mindset and hands-on execution ability.
• Comfortable with using AI in the workplace.
• Hands-on mentality in leading a lean team without extensive support functions. Willing to get your hands dirty.
• Passion for sports and innovation is a plus.

Our procedure consists of the following rounds:

• Introductory video call with our Talent Acquisition Manager (± 20 min)
• In-office interview with 2 senior stakeholders (± 60 min)
• Assessment round (± 120 min)
• Online interview with the Head of Finance and Senior Commercial Strategy Manager (± 45 min)
• Final interview with Tijmen, (founder and CEO) and one of our investors / external advisors (±60 min)
