Job summary

Philips is seeking a strategic Head of Engineering for Digital Pathology to drive the next phase of engineering transformation across software, hardware, cloud-native platforms, and AI-enabled workflows. You will build leaders, translate strategy into roadmaps, implement governance, and deliver high-quality, compliant products that improve patient care.

You will oversee software and hardware teams in Best and Bangalore, partnering with Product, Quality, Regulatory, and Cybersecurity to advance

Qualifications

• Experience in medical imaging, digital pathology, diagnostics, or enterprise imaging is preferred.
• Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (DICOM, DICOMweb, HL7, FHIR, IHE, LIS, PACS, VNA) is preferred.
• Led hardware-software integrated systems including embedded software and image acquisition.
• Strong in building high-performing teams, mentoring talent, and fostering ownership.
• Collaborative, servant-minded leaders who align stakeholders across geographies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Digital Pathology engineering organization across software, hardware, AI, and cloud platforms.
• Translate strategy into executable roadmaps with governance and measurable outcomes.
• Build an engineering operating system for portfolio investments, KPIs, and risk management.
• Ensure safe, scalable, compliant delivery across multi-disciplinary teams.
