Job summary

Philips is seeking a Senior Software Design Quality Engineer - AI to lead design assurance for software-driven and AI-enabled products. You will partner across engineering, data science, regulatory, and manufacturing to embed quality throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires deep expertise in software and AI quality, risk management, and regulatory compliance, with leadership responsibilities and a strong quality-by-design mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or CS with 15+ years of experience.
• Strong experience in design quality engineering for software/AI products.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and AI regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead design quality activities across the full software product lifecycle.
• Drive compliance with design control processes and AI regulation readiness.
• Partner with engineering, product, data science and regulatory teams.
• Oversee validation strategies for AI models, data quality, and traceability.
• Mentor teams in quality engineering best practices and DevOps alignment.
• Support regulatory submissions and audits with technical evidence.
