Job description

Are you passionate about developing high-performance inks for next-generation printing systems? Do pigment dispersions, UVgel technology and scalable materials processes energize you?

As a Chemical Engineer, you work at the core of our printer products: the print process and its consumables. You translate product and application requirements into robust ink materials and scalable processes. Your work helps develop high-performance UVgel ink systems with strong colour performance, stability and jetting reliability.

What You’ll Do
  • Transfer chemical ink designs from lab scale to manufacturing
  • Define ink specifications with stakeholders and print-system experts
  • Translate image quality, robustness and reliability targets into material windows
  • Solve technical challenges in UVgel ink material development
  • Capture knowledge in models to accelerate predictive development cycles
Who You’ll Work With

Our international organization has a flat hierarchy, so you’ll work in an open, creative and multidisciplinary R&D environment. You will collaborate closely with chemists, material scientists, process engineers, print process specialists and system experts.

What You Bring

We’re looking for a team player who meets the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field
  • Knowledge of pigment dispersions, colloid chemistry or ink-processing technology
  • Ability to translate material understanding into robust UV ink formulations
  • A practical problem-solving mindset using experiments, analysis and modelling
  • Strong communication skills and fluent English, both spoken and written
What You’ll Get From Us

We provide an exciting, high-tech R&D environment with plenty of opportunity to develop personally and professionally.

  • 38 vacation days
  • Extra 13th month pay (8,6%), holiday allowance (8%) and commuting allowance
  • Hybrid working for a healthy work-life balance
  • A huge range of training and professional development opportunities
  • A laptop and smartphone
  • An interesting lease (e-)bike plan
Career opportunities

In this role there are plenty of opportunities to further develop yourself, e.g. to senior chemical engineer, ink technology specialist or project lead.

What do we stand for?

We develop and manufacture high-tech printing products and workflow software for the commercial printing market as part of Canon, a global leader in imaging technologies.
