Job summary

Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is seeking a Chef de Cuisine – Main Kitchen & Banqueting to lead the hotel’s central kitchen and banqueting operations. You will coordinate stocks, mise en place and production for outlets, ensuring high quality and consistency during all service levels.

You will work closely with the Executive Chef and F&B team to develop menus, coach the kitchen staff, and drive efficiency while maintaining top safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in culinary leadership roles within a hotel.
• Strong experience with banqueting and large-scale food production.
• Solid knowledge of HACCP, food safety regulations and modern kitchen systems.
• Fluent English.
• Organised with ability to balance priorities and busy service periods.
• Excellent teamwork with kitchen and front-of-house teams.

Responsibilities

• Run the day-to-day operation of the Main Kitchen, ensuring high standards and timely delivery.
• Oversee central preparation for outlets, stocks, sauces, butchery and mise en place.
• Lead kitchen operations for banquets, events and meetings.
