Job summary

ING Netherlands seeks a Chapter Lead Safe Data Privacy to steer the privacy and data governance agenda across the bank. You will lead a team of privacy professionals, shaping strategy and ensuring privacy-by-design in products and processes.

In this role, you’ll balance regulatory demands with business innovation, work with senior stakeholders, and drive improvements in data protection practices while advancing responsible AI governance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a related discipline.
• Extensive expertise in Data Privacy and regulatory frameworks such as GDPR.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a chapter of privacy professionals; foster expertise and learning.
• Define the strategic direction of Data Privacy within ING Netherlands in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with privacy regulations including GDPR and EU AI Act implications.
• Balance regulatory requirements with business innovation and data-driven ambitions.
• Advance privacy-by-design and responsible AI across products and processes.
• Represent the Safe Data Privacy team in governance forums and initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement of privacy processes, controls and operating models.
• Attract, develop and retain top privacy talent.
