ING Netherlands is seeking an Experienced Data Governance & Protection Expert to strengthen the Safe Data team. You will translate privacy requirements into clear responsibilities, controls and practical work instructions, ensuring compliance while enabling business objectives.

The role involves guiding on privacy legislation, assessing risks, and contributing to core data protection processes. Collaboration with Legal, Compliance and global privacy teams will be essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable expertise in GDPR and privacy regulation.
• Experience translating regulatory requirements into operational processes, controls and practical business solutions.
• Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and drive change.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and guidance on data protection and privacy across ING Netherlands.
• Translate legislation and regulatory developments into practical requirements, controls and work instructions.
• Identify, assess and help mitigate privacy risks.
• Contribute to risk assessments, data subject rights requests, breach management and records of processing activities.
• Support awareness and continuous improvement of privacy practices.
