Sol Advisory is seeking a Manager-level strategy consultant to lead and execute high-profile carve-out and transformation programs in the Netherlands, working with C-suite and senior stakeholders. You’ll combine strategy, execution, and entrepreneurship to build the firm and shape the next chapter for our Dutch carve-out practice.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and execution of complex carve-outs and strategic transformation projects.
• Develop structured analyses and solve complex operational challenges.
• Manage critical project workstreams with client teams from planning through implementation.
• Work directly with C-suite and senior client stakeholders across the business, strategy and M&A.
• Help align carve-out execution with transaction objectives.
• Contribute to the continued development of Sol Advisory’s carve-out practice.
• Help build Sol Advisory itself.

Sol Advisory is an independent advisory boutique specialising in carve-outs and technology M&A. Guided by excellence, character, and ownership, we’re building what we aim to become over the next decade: the leading Dutch carve-out boutique.

As our pipeline grows, we’re looking for an exceptional Manager-level strategy consultant (from McKinsey, Bain, BCG or another top-tier strategy consulting firm) with entrepreneurial drive and leadership potential to help shape the next chapter of Sol Advisory.

You’ll work on a high-profile large-cap carve-out and other complex projects requiring strategic thinking, operational problem-solving and hands‑on execution.

Most importantly: You’ll not only advise builders. You’ll become one.

Our hiring approach:

For this role, we hire for problem‑solving ability, the motivation to develop new skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset first, then invest in developing deep domain expertise.

Although a plus, you don’t need years of carve‑out experience to succeed in this role.

If you also have experience in corporate finance, M&A or the technology sector, that’s a significant advantage (but not a prerequisite).

The role:

Working alongside experienced carve‑out professionals, you will:

• Support the planning and execution of complex carve‑outs and strategic transformation projects
• Develop structured analyses and solve complex operational challenges
• Manage critical project workstreams with client teams from planning through implementation
• Work directly with C‑suite and senior client stakeholders across the business, strategy and M&A
• Help align carve‑out execution with transaction objectives

Within your first 12 months you will:

• Deliver high-quality workstreams on complex carve‑out and transformation projects
• Become a trusted adviser to clients and colleagues
• Develop expertise in carve‑outs and separation execution
• Earn exceptional client feedback through outstanding delivery
• Contribute to winning repeat business and client referrals
• Help build the leading Dutch carve‑out boutique
