Job summary

Chogogo in Bonaire seeks an experienced line cook to join its beachfront kitchen team. You will prepare dishes during service, oversee mise en place, and support daily operations while upholding high standards of quality, hygiene and teamwork.

Fluent Dutch and English are required; Papiamentu is a plus. The role is full-time (40 hours) with opportunities to contribute to menus and daily specials within a friendly international team.

Qualifications

• Must have professional cook training (MBO 4 or comparable).
• Experience in a leading kitchen role within hospitality.
• Strong cooking techniques and knowledge of kitchen equipment.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; Papiamentu is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist and guide kitchen staff during service.
• Plan mise en place, prep, and line stations for service.
• Create daily specials and contribute to menu planning.
• Monitor quality, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
• Coordinate with service team to ensure smooth communication.
• Monitor schedules and manage leave requests.
• Oversee daily orders and deliveries.
