Roll Group is seeking a Cargo Superintendent to oversee cargo operations for projects globally. You will plan loading, discharging, ballast, and sea-fastening, coordinating all activities on site to ensure safe, efficient vessel operations.
The role requires maritime education and at least 2 years in a similar position, with willingness to travel up to 100–120 days per year and work in a hybrid environment. Roll Group offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Do you have a keen interest in working in a dynamic operational environment and traveling around the world? You might be just the one we are looking for!
Our heavy lift vessels (semi-submersible dock ships & wide deck carriers) ship the kind of cargo that doesn’t fit on a regular cargo vessel. Think of topsides, monopiles for offshore wind turbines, mega yachts, naval equipment, and refinery modules. And that’s where you come in. As a Cargo Superintendent at Roll Group, you make it happen. You’ll be part of a company that is making a difference by moving the transition of energy and industry around the globe.
Roll Group offers a total solution for the transportation, lifting and installation of heavy cargo. Our land/sea combination enables us to offer ‘Factory to Foundation’ solutions. With engineering capabilities, a diverse asset base and the ability to adapt, Roll Group takes care of heavy cargo and provides effective, innovative and sustainable services using our unique know-how.
Roll Group owns a versatile heavy-transport seagoing fleet consisting of dock-type vessels, which all have the option of three loading modes – Ro-Ro, Flo-Flo and Lo-Lo – as well as deck carriers. On the land side, Roll Group operates a large number of modern heavy-lift cranes with capacities of up to 4,000 tonnes, Self-Propelled Modular Trailers (SPMTs) and conventional trailers. The specific characteristics of Roll Group’s asset base ensure the ability to serve a wide range of markets, such as Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy.
The Cargo Superintendent (CSI) prepares and executes all cargo-related operations for projects assigned to the CSI. The primary mission is to manage and supervise the port calls to ensure that the operations are being conducted safely and, in all aspects, in an efficient way.
Challenging and varied work (full‑time) at a fast‑growing international company. With plenty of flexibility and freedom, including 2 days of hybrid working a week. We offer a good salary (based on your knowledge, and experience), 8.33% holiday pay and a monthly contribution to your health insurance (EUR 110 gross and EUR 20 net). In addition, you participate in our Roll Group bonus scheme, a non‑contributory pension and premium‑free invalidity insurance. You’ll also get 28 days of annual leave, and we offer free lunch at work.
As a team, we also value fun and connection. Every year, we organize various social activities, such as a ski trip, sport events, team drinks, a summer BBQ, a memorable Christmas party, and more.
The recruitment procedure will include two face‑to‑face interviews, possibly back‑to‑back. Your terms of employment and benefits package will be discussed at a subsequent meeting. We aim to finalize the entire process within four weeks.
