Job summary

Jobtailor in the Netherlands seeks a senior Capture Lead to drive multi-year bids in aerospace and defence. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets and shape production-ready solutions aligned with MOD requirements.

Demonstrated success in complex capture campaigns is essential, with strong leadership, governance and compliance skills. EU clearance readiness and IPMA certification are desirable assets for this role.

Qualifications

• Able to hold EU Security Clearance at SC level.
• Degree in engineering, aerospace, manufacturing or related discipline.
• Degree-level business and/or commercial qualification is highly desirable.
• Completed or registered Programme Management certification, such as IPMA, is highly desirable.

Job description

• Develop and execute capture plans for vehicle integration, aerostructures, additive structures, funding, investment, partnerships and workshare
• Develop, maintain and communicate campaign plans with Business Development leadership and stakeholders
• Lead multi-year integrated business planning aligned with investment, resources, partnerships, technology readiness, product maturity and industrialisation priorities
• Lead strategic partnerships and industrial collaborations supporting EU sovereign capability and advanced manufacturing
• Engage governments, MODs, economic development agencies, regional authorities, industry primes and allied nations
• Lead end-to-end funding, investment, partnership and workshare capture activities from LCG0-2
• Own capture campaign budgets, forecasting, cost control, affordability and risk management
• Establish and monitor capture KPIs and report performance, risks and outcomes to senior stakeholders
• Lead cross-functional teams producing business cases, bids and proposals
• Own financial inputs for business cases, funding submissions and major investments
• Translate MOD requirements into production-ready industrial solutions, including factory layouts, process design, automation, tooling, digital manufacturing, supply chain architecture and quality systems
• Align technology readiness, product maturity and industrialisation plans with capture strategies
• Manage risks, opportunities and change according to PMO processes
• Maintain compliance with contractual, governance and funding requirements
• Transition successful bids to programme execution, including Programme Management Plans, baselines and delivery IPTs
• Oversee secured funding, investment, co-creation and workshare programmes
• Chair monthly BR4 programme reviews, deliver C5/BR6 reports and support Programme Management Reviews

• Recognised degree in engineering, aerospace, manufacturing or a related discipline
