Job summary

East Carolina University is seeking several facility managers/recreation technicians to support campus recreation and wellness. Duties include monitoring facilities, maintaining safety, and delivering excellent customer service while documenting incidents.

Applicants must be ECU students in good standing, with a GPA of at least 2.0, and must obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire. Positions are hourly, with flexible early-morning, evening, weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Clear license/driver check to operate university vehicles.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to lift and manage a minimum of 60 pounds. Heavy lifting required.
• Flexible work availability including mornings, nights, weekends, and breaks.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team for 8–12 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor facilities (ESRC, HSC, NRC or Blount) and resolve conflicts.
• Communicate issues to necessary personnel and assist with access control and inventory.
• Provide exemplary customer service and leadership to customers.
• Observe participants, enforce rules, and document incidents and injuries.
• Maintain and clean facilities and assist with vehicle fleet upkeep.
• Support in emergencies as described in the procedures manual.
