Job summary

Thales Nederland is seeking a skilled C++ Software Engineer for the SIMS (Radar Core Processing) team in Hengelo. You will design and maintain sensor simulators and VIU, injecting synthetic radar data while aligning interfaces with other radar teams. A strong physics/Math background helps implement modeled scenarios.

You will work in a hybrid setup, contributing to multi-target tests and radar verification within an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Technical Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 5+ years of modern C/C++ software engineering in Linux.
• Strong stakeholder and interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Solid foundation in physics and mathematics to support modeling efforts.
• Experience with OO design, modular architectures, and real-time/high-throughput data streams.
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD and Agile/Scrum workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain sensor simulators and VIU in modern C++ within SESx framework.
• Build components to inject synthetic data across radar chain stages.
• Collaborate with other radar product teams to align interfaces and data formats.
• Work with physics specialists to translate models into reliable code.
• Develop complex test scenarios to validate radar verification and participate in Agile software lifecycle.
