Job summary

N-Sea is seeking an experienced Buyer to join our Dordrecht team. You will drive procurement strategies, source materials and services, and negotiate favorable contracts while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Based in Dordrecht, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage supplier relationships, and contribute to sustainable procurement practices within our expanding subsea solutions business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in SCM, business or related field.
• 3+ years in procurement/buying, preferably technical.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability.
• Proficient in procurement software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's operational needs;
• Work closely with functional teams to ensure that goods ordered are fit for purpose and to the standards required;
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring they meet N-Sea's quality, cost, and delivery requirements;
• Provide accurate cost estimates for inclusion in commercial quotations;
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions;
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure continuous improvement;
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide procurement support;
• Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials and services;
• Stay updated on market trends and industry best practices to drive procurement efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field;
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a procurement or buying role, preferably with a Technical focus;
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities;
• Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
