Refresco is seeking a Business Data Analyst in Rotterdam to connect business needs with scalable data and analytics solutions. You will work with stakeholders from HQ and regional teams across Europe, translating challenges into practical data-driven outcomes.

In this role you will collaborate with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Solution Architects and external partners to define KPIs, data sources and reporting requirements, contributing to a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master in Business, IT, Data & Analytics or related field
• 5+ years in Business Analysis or Data Analysis
• Experience translating requirements into data/analytics solutions
• Experience with data analysis, profiling and pattern detection
• Experience with SAP ECC/S4HANA and manufacturing/supply chain domains
• Familiar with Snowflake, Power BI and dbt
• Aware of Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong facilitation, communication and analytical skills
• Able to structure ambiguous requirements
• Experience creating functional designs and process flows
• Pragmatic, solution-oriented in fast-paced settings
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Experience in international environments

About the role

As Business Data Analyst, you will play a key role in creating value across Refresco by connecting business needs with scalable data and analytics solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their challenges, define clear requirements and translate them into practical solutions that support better decision-making.

Your stakeholders will range from headquarters and regional teams to local businesses across Europe. Working alongside both business and technical teams, you will contribute to a variety of initiatives and projects, turning complex challenges and promising ideas into tangible outcomes.

What you will be doing

• Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the Data & Analytics team.
• Analyse, challenge and document business requirements, processes, KPIs, and reporting needs.
• Translate and structure business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment and decision-making throughout the lifecycle, from requirement intake to solution adoption and continuous improvement.
• Work with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Solution Architects, and external implementation partners to deliver scalable data solutions.
• Define business rules, KPI definitions, and reporting requirements.
• Identify data sources and data dependencies across SAP and other business systems.
• Support prioritization and qualification of Data & Analytics initiatives.
• Ensure solutions align with Refresco data standards and architecture.

What you will bring

• Bachelor/ Master degree in Business, IT, Data & Analytics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, or a similar role.
• Strong experience in translating business requirements into data and analytics solutions.
• Experience with data analysis, profiling, and identifying patterns in datasets.
• Experience with SAP (ECC or S/4HANA) and understanding of business processes in manufacturing, supply chain, finance, or procurement.
• Working knowledge of data and reporting platforms, preferably including Snowflake, Power BI, and dbt.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills.
• Able to challenge and structure ambiguous business requirements.
• Experience creating functional designs, process flows, and business requirements documents.
• Pragmatic, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• You enjoy working in an international environment with diverse teams.
