Business Controller (Sales)

Location - Hilversum

Our client is a fast‑growing Technology company with a strong business model and operations across Europe. Backed by a leading private equity sponsor, the business is entering its next phase of scale and is strengthening its commercial finance capability.

We are supporting the search for a Business Controller to work closely with senior Sales leadership and act as a trusted financial counterpart to the commercial organisation.

This role is ideal for a finance professional with 5+ years of direct experience partnering with Sales teams, looking to further develop in a high‑impact, commercially focused environment.

The Role

You will sit at the intersection of Finance and Sales, supporting revenue growth, forecasting accuracy, and commercial decision‑making. The emphasis is on insight, performance management, and value creation, rather than transactional accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary finance business partner to Sales leadership
• Provide commercial insight on revenue and performance trends
• Build and maintain KPI dashboards to track commercial performance
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and rolling outlooks with a strong sales focus
• Deliver monthly performance analysis and clear variance explanations

Required Experience & Profile

• 5+ years’ experience as a finance business partner to Sales
• Background in Technology and/or PE-backed environments strongly preferred
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capability
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with FP&A or BI tools is a plus
• Confident communicator, able to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
• Proactive, structured, and comfortable in a fast‑paced setting
• €70,000 – €90,000 base salary, dependent on experience
• High exposure to senior commercial leadership
