Hef Associates in Utrecht invites a Finance Business Partner who combines strategic insight with a hands-on mentality. As Business Controller you analyze monthly performance, support budgets and forecasts, and turn complex data into clear management action.

You will develop, enhance and automate reports and dashboards (Power BI), work closely with Sales, Revenue and Operations, and drive data quality improvements and sustainable value for the organization.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of FP&A, business control or similar analytical finance role.
• Completed college or university degree in Finance or related field.
• Strong analytical ability and the skill to translate numbers into actions.
• Excellent communication with management and hotel teams.
• Proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
• Affinity with Excel and BI tools such as Power BI.
• Proficient in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Analyze monthly results, KPIs and trends and translate them into clear advice for management and operations.
• Support budget and forecast processes, including scenario analysis and explanations.
• Develop, enhance and automate reports and dashboards (including Power BI).
• Close collaboration with Sales, Revenue and Operations to optimize commercial and operational performance
• Preparation of business cases for investments, projects and commercial initiatives.
• Identify and substantiate deviations from budgets and prior periods
• Ensure proper fit between systems, data quality and financial reporting.

In the Finance Business Partner role, you are an entrepreneurial finance professional who goes beyond preparing reports. You are the driving force behind our financial analyses, performance insights and planning processes. You combine your analytical skills with a proactive attitude and know how to turn complex data into concrete advice for management and opcos.

You work closely with the Finance Manager and CFO and support budgets, forecasts, scenario analyses and business cases. In addition, you will actively contribute to the improvement of dashboards, processes and data quality, thus contributing to an efficient and future-oriented financial operation. With your insights you help our organization grow further and make a sustainable impact in a dynamic market.

Your responsibilities

Your profile

• You have at least 2-5 years of experience in FP&A, business control or a similar analytical finance role.


• Completed college or university degree in Finance, Business Economics, Accountancy or similar.


• Strong analytical ability and able to convincingly translate numbers into actions.


• Communication skills and able to spar with both management and hotel teams.


• Proactive attitude and ability to work independently.


• Affinity with Excel and preferably experience with BI tools such as Power BI.


• Command of the Dutch and English languages.


• Available for 32 to 38 hours per week.
