Job summary

Bolton International Organisation seeks a Business Controller to join the Finance & Logistics team in the Benelux, with offices in Diegem (BE) or Rotterdam (NL). You will own monthly closing, budgeting, and reporting for Belgium and the Netherlands, acting as financial sparring partner to Country Management and Sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business Economics, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in business controlling, financial controlling, or accounting in FMCG, retail, or international matrix organisations.
• Experience with multi-entity / multi-country scope (Belgium + Netherlands) is a strong plus.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems; Navision or Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus; Tagetik or similar consolidations tool is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Own the full monthly closing cycle for BE & NL, prepare NAV dashboards and management reporting packages, and maintain data in the Group consolidation model.
• Prepare the Budget and Latest Estimate files for BE & NL and contribute to the Bolton Business Plan.
• Manage off-invoice bonus overview, annual settlement, and credit notes; keep Mercurius up to date.
• Refresh Benelux sales dashboards and targets; supply reporting files for Sales team.
• Drive compliance and process improvements, CBS Intrastat declarations, and sustainability reporting.

Business Controler – Bolton International (Belgium & Netherlands)

For our office in Diegem (BE) or Rotterdam (NL), we are looking for a Business Controller to join our Finance & Logistics team in the Bolton International Organisation (Belgium & The Netherlands).

How you make the difference

As a Business Controller, you are the financial backbone of Bolton International in the Benelux. You will ensure accurate monthly closing and management reporting for Belgium and The Netherlands, act as the financial sparring partner of Country Management and Sales, and drive continuous process improvement across the full controlling cycle.

How Your Agenda Looks Like

• Financial Closing & Reporting: You own the full monthly closing cycle for Belgium and the Netherlands. You prepare NAV dashboards and management reporting packages, and upload and review data in the Group consolidation model.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: You prepare the Budget and Latest Estimate files for BE & NL and actively contribute to the annual Bolton Business Plan for both entities.
• Off-Invoice & Customer Finance: You manage the off-invoice bonus overview and annual settlement, book and track Retro Discounts (NL), approve customer credit notes (BE), and keep Mercurius up to date.
• Sales & Commercial Support: You maintain and refresh the Benelux sales dashboards, update daily sales targets, and prepare the reporting files that the Sales team needs.
• Compliance & Process Improvement: You prepare CBS Intrastat declarations (NL), maintain the Transfer Pricing overview, support Sustainability reporting, and continuously look for improvements in processes and ways of working and follow through on implementing them.

Your Team

You report hierarchically to the Finance Manager. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Group F&A, auditors, and external providers across Belgium and The Netherlands.

What makes you a great fit?

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business Economics, or a related field.
• Experience: 3–7 years of experience in business controlling, financial controlling, or accounting, ideally in an FMCG, retail, or international matrix organisation. Prior exposure to multi-entity / multi-country scope (Belgium + Netherlands) is a strong plus.
• Knowledge & skills: You are proficient in Excel at an advanced level and feel at home working with ERP systems, experience with Navision or Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus. Familiarity with a Group consolidation or reporting tool such as Tagetik is considered a strong asset
• Competencies & personality: You are analytical, precise, and commercially aware. You work autonomously, manage a broad scope under tight deadlines, and always look for smarter ways of doing things. You build strong relationships across teams, take full ownership of your work, and handle sensitive financial information with the utmost discretion
• Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English. French is a plus
