Job summary

Fitura is seeking a Business Architect - Platform Services in Utrecht to shape the future of platform services, ensuring secure, resilient, and cost-efficient architectures. You will lead architecture blueprints for Linux/Windows, storage, and lifecycle management while guiding multiple squads and engaging stakeholders across regions.

The role emphasizes cyber resilience, backup, disaster recovery design, and collaboration with engineering and security leadership.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Significant experience in complex IT environments, including several years specializing in business, enterprise, or platform architecture.
• Hands-on and architectural knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Deep expertise in enterprise storage, backup, restore, disaster recovery, and cyber recovery strategies.
• Solid understanding of on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure landscapes.
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Architectural leadership: Own and evolve the Platform Services blueprint for Linux/Windows, storage, archiving, lifecycle management, and standardization.
• Shape cyber resilience, backup, and disaster recovery design frameworks (isolation, immutability, and restore confidence).
• Functionally lead Solution Architects across squads, promoting learning and shared ownership.
• Act as a trusted partner for engineering, security, and leadership, communicating roadmaps clearly across regions.

Role Overview

As a Business Architect - Platform Services, you shape the future of how stable, secure, and cost-efficient platform services-including Operating Systems, Storage Services, and support tools-are designed, delivered, and evolved. Co-leading the Platform Services area alongside the Area Lead and Tech Lead, you translate business goals, regulatory demands, and engineering best practices into a clear, practical architecture with a strong focus on cyber resilience and data protection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architectural Leadership: Own and evolve the architecture blueprint for Platform Services, guiding decisions around Linux and Windows platforms, SAN/NAS, object storage, archiving, lifecycle management, and standardization.

• Resilience & Cyber Recovery: Shape robust architectures for backup, restore, disaster recovery, and advanced cyber recovery strategies (isolation, immutability, and restore confidence).

• Functional Guidance: Functionally lead Solution Architects working across multiple squads, fostering a culture of continuous learning and shared ownership.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted sparring partner for engineering, security, and executive leadership, communicating roadmaps and technical visions clearly across regions and disciplines.

Your Deliverables:

• Comprehensive architecture blueprints and roadmaps for Platform Services.

• Cyber resilience, backup, and disaster recovery design frameworks.

• Standardization models for Linux/Windows operating systems and enterprise storage environments.

Your Profile:

• Education: Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience (Hard Requirements):

  • Significant experience in complex IT environments, including several years specializing in business, enterprise, or platform architecture.

  • Strong hands-on and architectural knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.

  • Deep expertise in enterprise storage, backup & restore, disaster recovery, and cyber recovery strategies.

  • Solid understanding of on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure landscapes.

• Language: Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
