Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport is seeking a Breakfast Chef to lead high-quality breakfast service, buffets and banqueting for diverse guests, groups and events. The role supports smooth kitchen operations and aims to create memorable dining moments every day.

You will work in a fast-paced, multinational kitchen with a focus on quality, safety and teamwork, contributing to an exceptional guest experience in a premium hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in breakfast/brasserie service or similar professional kitchen role.
• Ability to work under pressure in high-volume catering.
• Knowledge of HACCP and hygiene standards.
• Strong organisational skills and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality breakfast buffets.
• Support conference breaks, group meals and banqueting events.
• Ensure dishes meet recipes, quality and brand standards.
• Maintain hygiene and HACCP compliance at all times.
• Monitor stock levels and minimise waste.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and organised during service.
• Collaborate with colleagues across kitchen stations to ensure smooth service.
• Contribute ideas for buffet presentation and guest dining experiences.
• Assist onboarding and development of junior kitchen staff.
• Deliver memorable guest experiences through food quality and consistency.

Job description

Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport is located just ten minutes from Schiphol Airport and 25 minutes from Amsterdam city centre. In our kitchen we deliver more than day‑to‑day dining – from individual guests and crew meals to conferences, banquets, weddings and gala dinners, no two days are the same. As a Breakfast Chef you will focus on delivering high‑quality breakfast, buffet and banqueting experiences while supporting a smooth kitchen operation and helping create memorable dining moments for our guests, groups and events every day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present breakfast buffets to a consistently high standard
• Support the preparation and production of conference breaks, group lunches, dinners and banqueting events
• Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to recipe, quality and brand standards
• Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards at all times
• Monitor stock levels and support inventory management to minimise waste
• Ensure kitchen areas remain clean, organised and fully operational throughout service
• Work closely with colleagues across all kitchen sections to ensure efficient service delivery
• Contribute creative ideas for buffet presentation and guest dining experiences
• Support the onboarding and development of junior kitchen team members
• Deliver a memorable guest experience through exceptional food quality and consistency

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a professional kitchen
• Passion for high‑volume food production, buffet service and large‑scale catering operations
• Good knowledge of food safety, HACCP and hygiene regulations
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Good command of English and the ability to work effectively within an international team
• Ability to commute independently to Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport and be eligible to work in the Netherlands

Preferred Requirements

• Experience within a hotel, conference or banqueting kitchen environment
• Experience preparing meals for groups, events and buffet‑style service
• Experience working in a multicultural team environment
