Vlindertuin Ameland is seeking a breakfast assistant to join our friendly team. You will prepare and restock breakfast, set up the terrace in summer, and assist with guest check-outs, acting as a key point of contact for guests.
The role is primarily on Fridays, Sundays and Mondays, with hours typically from 7:15 to 11:00, and flexible days by arrangement. A German language ability is required, and some flexibility in hours is expected.
Breakfast is an important part of the holiday experience. Our guests expect a fresh and extensive breakfast in a well-kept breakfast room.
We work with regional products as much as possible and try to work plastic-free, healthily and in an environmentally conscious way, including when it comes to breakfast.
Preparing breakfast is different every day. Some days you have a small number of guests and time in between to tend the herb garden, do the sauna laundry, keep the sharing cupboard and toy cupboard tidy and spruce up the terrace. On busy days you're more focused on breakfast. We appreciate the work you do; that's why you get paid well and we're flexible, so that you feel welcome in our friendly team.
We are looking for a breakfast assistant who can work independently. The duties consist of setting up the terrace in summer, preparing breakfast, topping up during breakfast hours and clearing up once the guests have left. This work mainly takes place on Friday, Sunday and Monday; the days can be adjusted by arrangement. Working hours are mainly between 7.15 and 11.00.
You are more than a breakfast assistant: you are also a point of contact for guests and handle the check-outs of departing guests. So it is a representative role.
Education: LBO/VMBO/MAVO.
Hours per week: by arrangement.
