Job summary

SThree is recruiting a Biotech Manufacturing Operator to join a leading biotechnology organization in the Netherlands. You will contribute to production of life-changing cell therapies in a GMP-cleanroom setting, performing culture, media prep, expansion, and harvesting under strict aseptic control.

You will work in a 6-shift model with a 31.3% shift allowance and an average week of about 37.3 hours, with a transition to a 5-shift model and potential for 4-day weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Life Sciences or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a GMP cleanroom environment.

Our client is a leading biotechnology organization specializing in the manufacturing of advanced cell therapy products. To support continued growth, they are looking for a Biotech Manufacturing Operator to join their team.

In this role, you will contribute directly to the production of life-changing therapies in a highly regulated cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform cell and tissue culture activities according to GMP procedures.
• Execute manufacturing processes including media preparation, cell expansion, and harvesting.
• Work in a cleanroom environment using strict aseptic techniques.
• Complete batch records and production documentation accurately and on time.
• Identify and report deviations while maintaining high quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, QA, QC, and MSAT teams.

Requirements

• Laboratory education or Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a GMP cleanroom environment.
• Experience with cell culture, tissue culture, or aseptic manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and quality mindset.
• Ability to follow procedures accurately and work in a structured manner.
• Good communication skills and fluent English.
• Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Shift Pattern

The site currently operates in a 6-shift rotation, which includes a 31.3% shift allowance and an average working week of approximately 37.3 hours.

Current shifts:

• 00:00 - 08:00
• 06:00 - 14:00
• 12:00 - 20:00
• 18:00 - 02:00

A transition to a new 5-shift model is planned. Depending on your start date, you may initially work within the current 6-shift system before moving to the new schedule.

• Morning: 07:00 - 15:30
• Evening: 15:00 - 23:30
• Night: 23:00 - 07:30

The new shift model is expected to provide improved work-life balance, including regular extended periods off and opportunities for 4-day weekends.
