Job summary

Oxford Global Resources in Maastricht is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Team Lead to direct a 15-person Biotech Team in cell therapy manufacturing within a GMP environment. You will coach, mentor, and be present on the production floor to drive safety, quality, and throughput.

The role requires hands-on GMP manufacturing expertise, aseptic processes, and strong communication to coordinate with QA, QC, and Manufacturing Compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership in cell therapy, ATMP, biotech or other GMP-regulated manufacturing
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences or related field
• Hands-on GMP manufacturing experience
• Strong understanding of aseptic manufacturing, GMP regulations and quality systems
• Experience managing investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and manufacturing documentation
• Confident leader with coaching, communication, and decision-making skills
• Able to balance operational priorities while developing a high-performing team
• Excellent command of English
• Willing to work in a 5-shift schedule (evenings, nights, weekends)

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive team culture focused on accountability and development
• Work in a 6-shift rotation including evenings, nights and weekends

Job Description

As a Manufacturing Team Lead, you will be responsible for:

• Leading, coaching, and developing a team of approximately 15 Biotech Associates working in cell therapy manufacturing
• Providing day‑to‑day operational leadership while maintaining a visible presence on the manufacturing floor
• Working closely with fellow Production Team Leads to ensure continuous 24/7 manufacturing operations
• Driving the timely completion of manufacturing documentation, investigations, deviations, and batch closure activities
• Ensuring the highest standards of GMP compliance, product quality, and operational safety
• Supporting your team with technical and operational challenges during manufacturing activities
• Collaborating with Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), and Manufacturing Compliance to resolve issues and implement continuous improvements
• Creating a positive team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous development
• Working in a 6‑shift rotation, including evenings, nights, and weekends

Profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline
• At least 2 years of leadership experience within cell therapy, ATMP, biotechnology, biopharmaceutical, or another GMP‑regulated manufacturing environment
• Proven hands‑on experience in GMP manufacturing, preferably within cell therapy or advanced therapies
• Strong understanding of aseptic manufacturing processes, GMP regulations, and quality systems
• Experience managing investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and manufacturing documentation
• Confident leader with excellent coaching, communication, and decision‑making skills
• Able to balance operational priorities while developing and motivating a high‑performing team
• Excellent command of the English language
• Willingness to work in a 5‑shift schedule, including evenings, nights, and weekends

Employment Conditions

• Salary: €60,000 - €80,000 gross per year, depending on experience, plus 27% shift allowance
• Contract: Initial 12‑month contract with the intention of permanent employment
