Job summary

MSD is seeking an EHS Biosafety Officer for our Animal Health location in Boxmeer. The role focuses on safe and compliant management of biological agents and GMOs across R&D and manufacturing, developing biosafety programs and regulatory compliance to protect employees, products and environment.

You will support biosafety training, risk assessments, biocontainment system evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives within a GMP framework at Boxmeer and related sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biotechnology, or similar.
• Experience managing risks with biological agents and GMO legislation.
• Understanding of biocontainment systems and concepts.

Responsibilities

• Subject Matter Expert for the Biosafety program, evaluating health hazards and recommending control strategies.
• Identify Biosafety risks and help implement corrective actions and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with EHS staff, Engineering, Operations and R&D to drive improvements.
