Job summary

MSD Netherlands' Animal Health division seeks a Director Bioprocess Technology Solutions (Site Support) to lead technology support and site transfers across Boxmeer, De Bilt and Cologne. The role demands strong leadership across BTS, R&D and Manufacturing to ensure robust processes and reliable product supply.

The candidate will guide process improvements, manage cross-functional interfaces, and drive innovations while maintaining regulatory and quality standards. On-site presence is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in technology / engineering.
• 10+ years in viral cell culture, bacterial fermentation, downstream processing, purification and vaccine formulation.
• Experience leading complex technical and organizational work in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead BTS team (~25 employees) and site activities across Boxmeer, De Bilt and Cologne.
• Drive strategic direction of process improvements for the vaccine portfolio.
• Coordinate with R&D and other functions to develop and transfer processes.
• Manage site-level and cross-site activities with clear direction and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality and EHS requirements.
