Job summary

GenDx is seeking a Software Developer Bioinformatics to contribute to software solutions for transplantation diagnostics. You will develop and maintain HLA typing, chimerism monitoring, and oncology genomic assay tools, translating bioinformatics needs into robust software in a multidisciplinary team.

You have 3+ years of professional software development experience in a commercial/scientific setting, with Java/C# and English proficiency.

Qualifications

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Software Engineering, (Bio)informatics or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Hands-on professional experience with Java and/or C#.
Strong practical knowledge of OO programming, debugging, testing and documentation.
Experience with version control (Git): branching, pull requests, code reviews.
Experience in Agile or multidisciplinary product development teams.
Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
Excellent command of English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain software features using Java and/or C#.
Collaborate closely with the team to implement software requirements and features.
Improve existing software applications through bug fixes and enhancements.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and technical discussions.
Follow established software development and quality procedures (ISO 13485 and IEC62304).
