Job summary

New Balance is seeking an HR Generalist to provide effective HR support across our European operations, focusing on South Europe, with emphasis on policy, ER, onboarding and data management. This is a hands-on, service-driven role working closely with the Territory HR Manager to ensure compliant, consistent HR practices.

You will handle absence, disciplinaries, onboarding, data accuracy in systems (Workday), and drive engagement initiatives while adapting to a multi-country retail environment.

Qualifications

• Proven HR Advisory/Generalist experience in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, written and spoken.
• Knowledge of Spanish employment law and cross-border HR practices.
• Experience in multi-country or matrix retail settings.
• Strong communication, organizational skills and data integrity mindset.

Responsibilities

• Act as first line advisory support for managers on HR queries and policies.
• Coach managers on absence, disciplinary, and parental leave matters.
• Ensure fair application of employment law across countries.
• Manage employee relations casework end-to-end.
• Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes with HR Ops.
• Maintain accurate HR data in systems (Workday) across the territory.
• Monitor HR inboxes and provide timely responses.
• Support HR policy development and associate communications.
• Assist with probation reviews and Right to Work checks.
• Contribute to employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
