Job summary

Rabobank’s IAM Tribe seeks an experienced Data Analyst / BI Developer to extract value from IAM data and deliver actionable insights. You will build reports and dashboards, collaborate with data ingestion and solution architects, and help advance self-service analytics across the bank.

A background in IAM is preferred; English as working language, Dutch preferred, and a passion for data with Azure data tools, SQL, and visualization will help you thrive in a complex environment in Utrecht.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer sciences
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a BI developer in a complex IT landscape with IAM knowledge preferred
• Experience in SQL and ETL development
• Experience with Azure data platform (ADF, Databricks, Synapse, Azure DevOps); Python and Spark preferred
• Knowledge of data modelling in Analysis Services or Power BI
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Azure Data Fundamentals, Databricks certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new data and reporting products in the Microsoft Azure stack (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure DevOps pipelines, Power BI)
• Collaborate with data ingestion squads and solution architects to build usable data products
• Develop scalable data and reporting products to support self-service BI and data-informed decision-making across the bank

The IAM Tribe at Rabobank ensures that employees have proper and secure access. We prevent (un)conscious risks or fraud and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Within this Tribe, a dedicated Data & Insight (D&I) Area was created to deliver on the promise of data driven business processes and decision making. This includes developing machine learning and bring artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities into IAM services.

For this area, we are looking for an experienced data analyst/BI developer.

You & your job

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, collaborating across disciplines, and creating scalable solutions that empower others through self-service analytics. A background in IAM is preferred, but not a hard requirement. We value curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a passion for data. Experience with cloud platforms and data visualization is helpful, but we’re more interested in your mindset and potential.

Your job focuses on extracting value from IAM data and converting it into actionable insights. Your team is part of an area which helps to create insights into IAM services and IAM Compliance and In Control topics. You build reports and insights for business and system owners across the bank, management information for domain leads, bring insights on IAM customers (employee & engineers) and much more. All these responsibilities contribute to the decision-making process up to the highest level in the bank.

You closely collaborate with the data ingestion squad and solution architects to build data products that are simple to use and can solve many of the key challenges. Furthermore, the reporting & insight squad maintains key reports that are seen by highest management and external parties. You are also responsible to define key metrics that enable us to track and improve our products. D&I IAM Area is customer obsessed.

Top 3 responsibilities

• Designing and developing new data & reporting products in the Microsoft Azure stack, such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure DevOps deployment pipelines, Power BI, etc.
• Working together on new innovative solutions for complex business needs.
• Developing scalable data & reporting products to support and accelerate Self-Service Business Intelligence and data informed decision-making processes.

You & your talent

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in e.g. computer sciences;
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a BI developer in a complex IT landscape. IAM requires strong technical knowledge, experience in such space is preferred
• Experienced in working with SQL and developing ETL solutions
• Experienced in working with Azure data platform. For example ADF, Databricks, Synapse, Azure DevOps. Knowledge of Python and Spark is preferred
• Knowledge of data modelling in Analysis Services or Power BI
• Having at least one of these certificates is a plus:

• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals
• Databricks Certified Data Analyst Associate
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate

• Great analytical and problem solving skills
• Very good communication and cooperation skills
• Agile mindset and experience in working agile/scrum
• Can do mentality and eager to explore and learn new technologies
• Language: English, Dutch preferred
• Based in the Netherlands

This is what we offer you

• Salary: Gross monthly salary between EUR 4,105 and EUR 5,862 (scale 08) for a 36-hour work week.
• Extras: a thirteenth month, 8% holiday allowance, and a 10% Employee Benefit Budget.
• Development budget: EUR 1,400 development budget per year for your growth and development.
