Job summary

DNV is seeking an inclusive, proactive Head of Solar & Battery Storage for Benelux, leading the Renewables Northern Europe Solar & Battery Storage team. The role focuses on people leadership, customer relationships, and delivering high-quality consulting services across the project lifecycle from feasibility to operation.

The position is based in the Netherlands or Belgium with hybrid work, three days in the office on average, and a strong emphasis on responsible AI usage, data tools, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Several years of experience in consulting, renewable energy or another relevant customer-facing environment.
• Demonstrated people-leadership experience, including coaching, prioritization and creating the conditions for a team to perform and develop.
• Experience with project delivery and operational management, such as planning, utilization, forecasting, quality or financial follow-up.
• A strong customer and commercial orientation, with the ability to understand needs and turn them into practical solutions.
• An active interest in AI and digital tools, ideally supported by examples of improving services, processes or customer outcomes.
• Fluency in English is required; Dutch language skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• People leadership: Lead, coach and develop a diverse team.
• Customer and consulting leadership: Build trusted customer relationships and support the team in understanding needs, shaping solutions, preparing proposals and delivering high-quality consulting assignments.
• Project and delivery oversight: Stay close to projects, identify risks early, remove obstacles and support colleagues in demanding delivery or customer situations.
• Operational management: Take ownership of resource planning, utilization, forecasting, project performance, quality, financial follow-up and the administration of the section.
• Sales and business development: Maintain a strong sales focus by managing the opportunity pipeline and converting opportunities into growth.
• Service development and AI: Drive responsible use of AI, data and digital tools to improve services and value.
• Collaboration: Work across sections and locations to deploy capabilities and ensure a consistent customer experience.
