Job summary

Sompo Holdings, Inc. seeks a VP, Head of Claims BeNe based in Rotterdam or Brussels. You will lead the BeNe claims function, shaping strategy and ensuring high service levels for clients and brokers across Belgium and the Netherlands.

You will manage senior claims professionals, develop risk management processes, and work closely with executives to deliver scalable and effective claims solutions in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

BeNe insurance market knowledge.
Experience leading claims teams.
Strong technical claims experience across lines of business.
Excellent Dutch and English; French helpful.

Responsibilities

Lead BeNe claims department development and management.
Negotiate settlements and establish reserves.
Ensure governance and risk management compliance.
Monitor KPIs and manage outsourced providers.
Mentor and train junior staff.
Collaborate across functions to align claims with business goals.
Provide management information to improve underwriting quality.
Foster relationships with clients and brokers.
Manage relationships with TPAs, panel lawyers and adjusters.
