About the Role
Our client is a leading international technology-driven organisation operating across multiple global markets. To support continued growth and transformation, they are seeking an experienced Regional Banking Lead to join their Treasury function.
This is a highly visible role that sits at the intersection of Treasury, Banking, Payments and Financial Infrastructure. You will lead complex banking initiatives across multiple jurisdictions, helping to design, implement and optimise scalable banking and payment solutions that support business growth, operational resilience and evolving regulatory requirements.
Working closely with treasury teams, technology functions, legal and compliance stakeholders, as well as global banking partners, you will play a key role in shaping the organisation's future banking and payments landscape.
What You'll Do
- Lead complex banking and payments projects across multiple countries and legal entities.
- Drive initiatives such as treasury management system implementations, banking platform enhancements, payment flow migrations and bank account rationalisation programmes.
- Review existing banking operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardisation and control.
- Leverage automation and emerging technologies, including AI-driven solutions, to optimise banking processes.
- Design banking solutions that balance business needs, regulatory requirements, operational resilience and scalability.
- Assess new banking products, providers and service models to support strategic business initiatives.
- Lead banking due diligence exercises, including regulatory reviews, service assessments, liquidity considerations and operational risk evaluations.
- Support implementation of banking connectivity solutions, including SWIFT, ISO 20022 messaging standards and bank integration frameworks.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banking partners, payment service providers, fintech organisations and other external stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Tax, Accounting, Financial Systems and Technology teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Strengthen governance, controls and policy frameworks relating to bank account management, user access, signatory governance and banking operations.
- Act as a trusted subject matter expert on banking and payments-related strategic initiatives.
What You'll Bring
- Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of experience within corporate treasury, banking, payments, financial infrastructure or a related environment.
- Proven track record delivering banking transformation and payment infrastructure projects within a multinational organisation.
- Strong understanding of banking products, payment flows, account management and treasury operations.
- Experience with banking connectivity solutions, including SWIFT and ISO 20022 payment standards.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and geographies.
- Experience engaging with banking partners, external providers and senior business stakeholders.
- Knowledge of governance, controls, audit requirements and regulated operating environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive complex projects to successful completion.
Preferred Experience
- Treasury Management Systems (TMS) implementation experience.
- Experience with SAP BAM, FIS Quantum or similar treasury platforms.
- Exposure to regulated financial services or payment institutions.
- Knowledge of safeguarding or client money structures.
- Experience within high-growth, international or technology-led organisations.
- Understanding of treasury transformation, automation and digitalisation initiatives.
