Job summary

Isovalent, now part of Cisco, is seeking a Technical Lead for backend services. You will guide a motivated engineering team, focusing on scale, reliability, and security, delivering low-latency APIs for large-scale workloads.

You will contribute architectural leadership, work on distributed systems, and drive initiatives to enhance performance and security across Cisco's workload security products.

Qualifications

• At least 9+ years' experience building software systems in Go, C++, or Java.
• Technical leadership experience in a software engineering environment
• Agile experience
• Bachelor's degree with 11+ years of related experience, Master’s 9+ years, PhD 4+ years, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers for backend services.
• Improve scale, performance, reliability, robustness, and security.
• Architect and implement backend APIs with low latency for large data volumes.
• Work in highly distributed systems with failure modes unique to those environments.
