Job summary

Cisco is seeking a security-focused engineer to ensure best practices across the software development lifecycle. You will build and tune tools to detect vulnerabilities in Isovalent software, triage findings from diverse sources, and push security processes with a metrics-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Strong background in information security with Linux concepts.
• Experience automating security processes using Go, Python, Bash or IaC tools.
• Demonstrable experience leading security projects from design to delivery.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage findings from SAST/DAST, cloud security scanners, external reports and pentests.
• Improve security processes to focus on high-impact issues with measurable metrics.
• Explain risk clearly and evaluate proposed remediation with product teams.
• Collaborate with development, release, and other security teams at Cisco to address vulnerabilities promptly.
