Job summary

A technology services company in the Netherlands is seeking a Modern Workplace & Azure Engineer. This versatile role involves implementing and optimizing Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions, while ensuring effective governance. Responsibilities include managing Azure infrastructure, administering Microsoft 365 services, and applying security best practices. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and automation using PowerShell.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

Looking for Modern Workplace & Azure Engineer is a versatile, hands-on professional responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing Microsoft 365 and endpoint solutions, while ensuring effective Azure governance and cost optimization in close collaboration with our outsourcing partner.

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure to support internal applications and energy trading systems
• Manage Entra ID (Azure AD) for identity, access, and security policies
• Administer Microsoft 365 / Modern Workplace services (Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive) to support collaboration across the organisation
• Manage devices and endpoints with Intune / Endpoint Manager
• Implement security best practices (MFA, Conditional Access, Defender)
• Automate processes using PowerShell or Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise cloud and workplace environments
• Support IT initiatives for energy trading platforms, operational technology, and internal business applications

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (VMs, networking, storage, PaaS)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Modern Workplace (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online)
• Experience with Intune and endpoint management
• Familiarity with identity and security in Azure (MFA, Conditional Access, Entra ID)
• PowerShell scripting or other automation experience
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
