Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

We’re looking for a Lead Azure Engineer to join our team in the Netherlands in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, modernize infrastructure and ensure platform reliability for large-scale cloud environments. This position requires strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure , CI/CD automation, container orchestration and Infrastructure as Code. You’ll also apply observability best practices to maintain availability and performance across enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins and Azure DevOps
• Manage deployment and integration within Microsoft Azure (including Kubernetes and Azure services)
• Implement and maintain container-based workflows using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS)
• Apply Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform and Ansible
• Monitor and ensure system reliability with Prometheus, Grafana and Dynatrace
• Collaborate with development teams to embed DevOps best practices into the delivery pipeline
• Support migration and modernization efforts for integration services
• Participate in incident resolution, root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
• Contribute to governance, platform security and compliance standards across environments
• Drive automation and observability improvements across platforms

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability or Platform Engineering roles
• Strong experience in Microsoft Azure and associated cloud-native services
• Expertise in CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or Jenkins
• Solid understanding of SQL and experience with database-related automation and integration
• Hands-on skills with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
• Ability to implement observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana and Dynatrace
• Strong scripting capabilities (Bash or Python) for automation workflows
• English proficiency at B2 level (Upper-Intermediate) or higher
• Nice to have Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, ELK stack, advanced observability techniques
• Familiarity with security practices, IAM and compliance in enterprise setups
• Experience migrating from BizTalk to Azure Integration Services
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum or SAFe)
• Background in energy or large regulated environments
