Job summary

Vattenfall in Amsterdam is seeking a DevOps Cloud Engineer (Azure & Databricks) to operate and evolve secure, scalable cloud platforms for data, analytics and AI initiatives. You will join the Digital Platform Operations team and collaborate with cloud engineering, architecture, operations and data platforms to keep Azure and Databricks secure, reliable and future-ready.

You’ll drive automation, governance and self-service capabilities across the enterprise, ensuring performance, cost awareness

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in Azure-based cloud engineering or DevOps roles.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, governance or platform engineering.
• Strong understanding of Azure services including Networking, Storage, VMs and Azure AD.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and IaC tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate Azure-based cloud platform solutions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git and automation tools.
• Develop and manage IaC solutions using ARM, Bicep and scripting languages.
• Automate provisioning, deployment and lifecycle management of cloud resources.
• Maintain self-service platform capabilities based on .NET Core/Angular.
• Ensure platform reliability and operational stability.
• Support Azure Databricks and Snowflake environments.
• Implement security controls in line with governance requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, developers and operations to deliver secure, scalable services.
