Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking an IT Platform Engineer to design, build and run the Enterprise Data Lake for a major bank, combining software engineering with data disciplines in a cloud-first, secure environment. You will collaborate with engineers, admins and security professionals to ensure scalability and reliability.

This role emphasizes DevOps, CI/CD, SOLID design, Terraform, Databricks on Azure, and testing with Pytest, with mentorship and growth opportunities in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• Strong OO programming experience (Python preferred).
• Experience with SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Strong understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver robust, secure, high-quality solutions in a cloud-based environment.
• Advocate and apply best practices in software engineering, including SOLID principles, design patterns, and domain-driven design (DDD).
• Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and IT stakeholders to align technical strategy with business objectives.
• Build and maintain scalable data platforms in Azure with the engineering team.
• Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery.
• Ensure code quality through automated testing frameworks (e.g. Pytest, mocking).
• Support and mentor team members, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
